Scanned activation of phone purchased at retail store?

When I've purchased phones at retail before i.e. Target, Walmart, etc , they were always scanned at the register and the receipt shows the phone has been activated so then all one needs do is add an airtime card or transfer minutes on-line.

A Coolpad something and a really cheap Lumia Windows phone. Last time I grocery shopped on Friday both of the phones were no longer on the display. It also looks like Walgreens does not sell T-Mobile phones anymore either.

There's no such protective case for a flip phone, so IMO the best choice is a simple and cheap smartphone. Again, the caveat is that the person has to be able to use a smartphone.

Not sure if this number is for all of the United States, but if it is not go into your old phones call log look for an outgoing 800 number that you see a lot that you do not know who that is.
