Qatar awarded a contract for up to 210 new wide-body civilian airliners to Boeing on Wednesday, a blockbuster deal for the beleaguered aerospace company that was inked in a Doha ceremony where President Donald Trump hailed it as evidence of his abilities to promote U.
The order will support 154,000 U.S. jobs annually, the White House said.
The White House announced that President Donald Trump secured economic exchanges with Qatar worth $1.2 trillion, a figure which includes a historic order for Boeing airliners.
The agreement comes as Qatar offered to donate a $400 million 747-8 jumbo jet for President Donald Trump to use as a temporary Air Force One.
