Norwich Airport has closed after a small plane burst into flames on the runway. The plane developed a small fire in its engine on take off, according to Norwich Aviation Centre. They said the fire service had been called and crews were at the scene but described the incident as "nothing major".

All flights are currently suspended from Birmingham Airport due to an “aircraft incident”. Birmingham Airport said in a statement: “Following an aircraft incident, the runway is temporarily closed. “We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.
