An Israeli airstrike in Beirut’s Bachoura neighborhood killed at least nine people and injured 14 others overnight, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said Thursday. It was the second and deadliest airstrike in the capital since Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah began.

There was no warning before the strike late Wednesday, which hit an apartment in central Beirut not far from the United Nations headquarters, the prime minister’s office, and parliament.
