Sigma's CEO says BF unofficially stands for 'beautiful foolishness,' a nod to Japanese tea ceremonies. Indeed, the camera leaves a lot of stuff out, including features enthusiasts may miss.

The BF has 230GB of internal memory instead of any removable media cards and uses the USB slot to transfer data off the camera. Sigma says this is sufficient for 14,000 JPEGs, 4300 uncompressed DNG Raws or 2.5 hours of video shot in its highest quality settings.

Sigma has announced a new compact 24.6-megapixel full-frame camera called the BF whose body is milled from a single block of aluminum. It features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display and next to it are three touch controls which offer haptic feedback so that you feel like you’re touching actual buttons.
