Basketball fans in the 704 are still reeling after waking up to the news that Jeff Peterson and the Charlotte Hornets traded Mark Williams to the Los Angeles Lakers for Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish, and a pair of future draft assets.

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly acquired Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets for rookie Dalton Knecht and Cam Reddish, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. The Lakers are also sending a 2031 unprotected first-round pick and a 2030 pick swap to the Hornets in the trade.

Move comes hours after Charlotte agreed to send its starting center to Los Angeles for Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish and draft compensation.
