Nosferatu' director Robert Eggers is directing an adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol,' with Willem Dafoe eyed to play Scrooge.

Robert Eggers is set to write and direct a movie adapting author Charles Dickens’ classic ghost story set at Christmas. Eggers will produce the project alongside Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus for Maiden Voyage.

Deadline is reporting that Robert Eggers’ frequent collaborator Willem Dafoe is being eyed for the part of Ebenezer Scrooge in his version of A Christmas Carol. And now that I’ve imagined Dafoe as the old miser at the center of the Charles Dickens classic,
