DEL MAR, Calif. — Citizen Bull won the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile by 1½ lengths and Gaming was second at Del Mar on Friday, giving Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert a 1-2 finish and his record sixth career victory in the race for 2-year-olds.

Citizen Bull's win earned him 30 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby, giving Baffert the leading contender for the 2025 Run for the Roses in the first year he'll be allowed back to compete beneath the Twin Spires.

Citizen Bull won the $2 million Juvenile by 1 1/2 lengths and Gaming was second at Del Mar on open day of the Breeders' Cup on Friday.

The respective winners from Friday's GI FanDuel Breeders' Cup Juvenile–Citizen Bull (Into Mischief)–and the GI NetJets Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies–Immersive (Nyquist), will look down the road to their 3-year-old seasons with the GI Kentucky Derby and GI Kentucky Oaks the target.

Citizen Bull took charge as the starting gates opened and held the front throughout for an easy win in the $2 million Juvenile, one of the featured races on Future Stars Friday at the 41st Breeders' Cup World Championships at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club near San Diego.
