2 lessons and 1 thought after the Dallas Mavericks fall to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2OT, 133-127
The Los Angeles Clippers defeat the Dallas Mavericks 133-127 in double overtime slugfest as the Mavericks’ offensive woes are mostly forgotten for a few quarters tonight and the Clippers finally manage to find some footing, even if on shaky ground, for the first time in six games.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Bradley Beal is done for the season. Kawhi Leonard has an ankle and a foot sprain with no timetable to return. Beal has a hip fracture and will undergo surgery next week, the team announced Wednesday. He is expected to make a full recovery in six to nine months.
The game started rough for the Mavericks as they fell into an early 26-12 deficit. Naji Marshall and Cooper Flagg lead the way early in scoring with a couple of jumpers before some bad defense and Brandon Williams’ poor decisions made the Mavs fall out of the game early.
