French Open revelation Loïs Boisson has rocketed 296 places up the WTA rankings after her fairy-tale run at Roland-Garros.
Coco Gauff sent heartwarming congratulatory messages to Carlos Alcaraz after the Spaniard astonishingly came back from the brink of defeat to successfully defend his French Open title.
On Saturday, Coco Gauff etched her name into tennis history as the winner of the 2025 French Open. The 21-year-old tennis phenom defeated Aryna Sabalenka in three sets to win her first title at Roland-Garros and her second Grand Slam.
Gauff’s victory came three years after she was thrashed 6-1 6-3 by Iga Swiatek in the 2022 French Open final, a defeat that left an 18-year-old Gauff in tears during the trophy ceremony. This time, she was able to grit through to get her hands on the coveted Coupe Suzanne Lenglen, beaming with pride as the American national anthem played in Paris.
