Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras was suspended three games by the NHL on Monday for his hit to the head of Detroit Red Wings center Michael Rasmussen during the Red Wings’ 5-4 overtime win on Sunday.

Detroit — The Red Wings let another late lead slip away Sunday, but this time survived it. Patrick Kane scored his second goal of the game at the 4-minute mark of overtime, and after the Ducks narrowly missed scoring on the other end, giving the Wings a 5-4 victory.

The Anaheim Ducks will be without forward Trevor Zegras for a few games after he was issued a suspension by the NHL following a dirty hit against Detroit Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen. After reviewing the incident, the NHL Department of Player Safety determined that Zegras would be suspended three games for his actions.
