Kelvin Sampson and the Houston Cougars are fresh off a trip to the national title game, suffering a loss in the final leg of the NCAA Tournament. Houston made their way to the national title game and lost to the Florida Gators after defeating a couple of the best teams in the league.

After the Cougars couldn't hold a 12-point lead vs. the Gators, time may have run out on Kelvin Sampson, 69, winning a title

Sampson, 70, has been coaching since 1979 and has found so much success recently with the Cougars by building Houston into a national powerhouse. However, with a potential national title looming it's very possible that Sampson could opt to retire with a win Monday night.
