Houston voters rejected Houston ISD’s historic $4.4 billion bond with about 60% voting against both of the district’s propositions on the ballot. HISD’s bond proposal – the largest in state history – was split into two propositions on Tuesday’s ballot. Proposition A would have allocated $3.96 billion for school building renovations and expansions, while Proposition B would have spent $440 million for technology equipment, systems and infrastructure.  About 4,000 more votes were cast for Proposition A than for Proposition B, but voters rejected both measures equally with 58% voting “No” compared to 42% voting “Yes”, according to the unofficial election results from the Harris County Clerk’s Office. Superintendent Mike Miles ceded the election when early voting results showed that roughly 60% of the 350,000 ballots cast through early and mail-in voting had voted against both measures.  The Chronicle has compiled the precinct-level results for both propositions below to show you how your neighbors voted when it came to HISD’s Bond.
