The heat remains the main weather story this weekend and into early next week as a Heat Advisory remains in effect for areas along and south of the I-70 corridor.

Heading into Monday and Tuesday, the temperature and the heat index will continue to climb. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s but the heat index will reach an upward of 110 degrees. Due to this, both days have been upgraded to Weather Impact Alert Days. Both days will be mainly dry with only a stray pop-up storm possible.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are coming through Indianapolis, amid a heat advisory. Scatter showers will pour throughout central Indiana with rain rates of 1-2 inches per hour in the strongest storms.
