British tennis player Katie Boulter spoke out against the hateful messages, including death threats, she receives from sports bettors after a match on social media.

Katie Boulter said in an interview that online abuse has become the norm and that she thinks many of the messages are sent by people who are placing bets on tennis matches.

Boulter agreed to sit down with BBC Sport to provide unprecedented insight into the volume and nature of abuse received by players, including sharing screenshots of her private inbox. Boulter's reasoning for sharing the messages is two-fold.
