Sam LaPorta has only 8 catches for 94 yards, but recovered from ankle sprain in time for Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.

After looking "really good" during Friday's practice, Lions tight end Sam LaPorta is expected to play in Monday night's showdown between Detroit and the Seattle Seahawks. LaPorta has been dealing with an ankle injury that was sustained during last Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals.

The Lions will look to move to 3-1 over their NFC counterparts and give Seattle their first loss of the season. Detroit currently has the fourth-best Super Bowl odds in the NFL (+1100). At +1100, the Lions sport an 8.3 percent chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Among the players who exited the game at points was tight end Sam LaPorta, who got rolled up on by a defender while blocking on Detroit's hook-and-ladder touchdown. He returned to the game in the third quarter, but would miss time after limping off on the first play of the third quarter.

Lions tight end Sam LaPorta didn’t join the team’s practice session on Thursday. LaPorta sprained his ankle in last Sunday’s win over the Cardinals and head coach Dan Campbell called him day-to-day earlier this week. He’ll have an extra day to heal with the Lions playing Seattle on Monday.
