Washignton State Patrol says a 73-year-old man was attempting to cross the highway at South Schneirla Street just after 9 p.m. on Friday night, and was not on a crosswalk.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Old Orchard Beach Police Department reserve Officer Jon Luke Evans, of Jamaica, on July 25.

Old Orchard Beach police, who hired him as a summer employee, said federal officials cleared him to work in May.
