Newly released police reports and body camera footage are shedding light on the troubled path that led a shooter on a cross-country drive from his home in Las Vegas to the skyscraper in Manhattan where he killed four people last week before turning the gun on himself.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released body-worn camera footage and 911 recordings showing multiple encounters with Shane Tamura, the man who police said killed four people before taking his own life at a Manhattan office building in July.

He’s been calm and cooperative with us but he did tell us he had a handgun in his bag,” a Las Vegas paramedic said about Shane Tamura.
