A former Miami Heat security officer has been accused in federal court of stealing and selling valuable team memorabilia, including a LeBron James jersey from the 2013 NBA Finals.

A retired police officer who worked as team security for the Miami Heat has been accused of stealing millions of dollars of memorabilia from the team, including NBA Finals game-worn jerseys originally belonging to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and more.

Marcos Thomas Perez, a 62-year-old former Heat security guard and longtime Miami police officer, appeared in federal court Tuesday on charges that he stole and resold hundreds of pieces of game-worn memorabilia, including jerseys worn by some of the NBA’s biggest stars.
