Rep. Nancy Mace's resolution to bar transgender women from Capitol restrooms receives support from a handful of officials Tuesday afternoon.

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace said Tuesday that the bill she introduced to ban transgender women f rom using biological women's restrooms at the U.S. Capitol was "absolutely" in response to Rep.-elect Sarah McBride's entering Congress.

Rep.-elect Sarah McBride became the first transgender person elected to Congress when she won the race for Delaware's only House seat two weeks ago.
