What was an extremely wet weekend will continue into the workweek as the National Weather Service continues to have the islands under an active Flood Watch.

The National Weather Service is working to hire back hundreds of positions laid off or otherwise cut by the Trump administration, but it’s progressing at a snail’s pace, forcing many offices to continue to cope with vacancies that could affect winter forecasts.

The National Weather Service issued a report at 7:26 p.m. on Sunday for snow showers until 8:15 p.m. for Berkshire County.

A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST for snow until 6:15 p.m. EST for Oceana, Newaygo, Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent and Allegan counties.

The National Weather Service Las Vegas predicts mild and warmer weather for the upcoming week in southeastern California, southern Nevada, and northwestern Arizona.

Sunshine is in the forecast for Loveland today with an expected high of 61 degrees, according to the National Weather Service website.

Temperatures will drop into the teens with wind chills possibly in single digits, according to the National Weather Service.

On Sunday at 6:55 p.m. a special weather statement was issued by the National Weather Service until 10 p.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

Later this afternoon and evening are expected to bring the heaviest snowfall and the worst conditions on the roads across a big part of Michigan.
