Not many things in sports have changed more over the years than the NFL Draft. Over the past half-century, the draft has gone from something that wasn't even televised into one of the biggest events on the sports calendar.

Green Bay often chooses high-upside edge rushers but that hasn't worked out in recent years (Lukas Van Ness). In a departure from that, the Packers pick the high-floor Tuimoloau who can set the edge in run defense and use pash rush moves to get home.

The first round of the 2025 NFL draft kicks off Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. CT. The Green Bay Packers hold the 23rd overall pick in the first round, so -- barring a big trade up the board -- general manager Brian Gutekunst will be waiting a while before he's on the clock to make a pick.
