Michigan held off a comeback attempt by the Tide, who put up 10 points in their final two drives of the second quarter. Alabama and All- SEC quarterback Jalen Milroe scored just one more time on a field goal in the second half, and walked away with another loss to the Wolverines, 19-13.

The last time Alabama was inside the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in 2023, an eerily similar rainstorm caused the Crimson Tide all kinds of headaches. That afternoon, it was South Florida – along with persistent lightning – that terrorized Alabama for 60 minutes before the better team finally prevailed.

Alabama went into the ReliaQuest Bowl as 16.5-point favorites over Michigan on Tuesday. But three early turnovers proved to be too big for the Crimson Tide as the Wolverines scored 16 first-quarter points.

Kalen DeBoer picked up his 3rd Alabama as a 2-score favorite, matching the same number of such losses during Nick Saban's tenure.
