By his standards, Pittsburgh Pirates ace pitcher Paul Skenes was vulnerable against the Cincinnati Reds, but Skenes has a pretty high standard.

Catcher Henry Davis led off the bottom of the fourth inning with a single for the Pirates. Third baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa grounded out, moving Davis to second base, then first baseman Spencer Horwtiz singled, scoring Davis and putting the Pirates up 4-0.

Paul Skenes struck out eight in six shutout innings, Bryan Reynolds and Henry Davis homered and the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds 7-0.
