Angel City defender Savy King is "responsive" and receiving further medical attention at a hospital after collapsing in the second half of the NWSL team's 2-0 win over Utah Royals on Friday.

Savy King is in stable condition and will be undergoing further medical evaluation after collapsing on the field during Angel City's match against the Utah Royals on Friday. The NWSL said in a statement that King "remains stable" after being transported to a local hospital by EMS and she will undergo more testing.

Christen Press scored Angel City's first goal after coming in to replace Claire Emslie in the 65th minute. Alyssa Thompson added a second score in second-half stoppage time, helping Angel City to improve its record to 4-2-2. Utah has lost six of its past seven games and dropped to 1-6-1.
