The Indian stock market witnessed a volatile trading session on October 1, with benchmark indices ending in the red for the third consecutive session. The Nifty closed below the 25,800 mark, and the Sensex slipped,

The BSE Sensex closed at 84,266.29, down 33.49 points or 0.04 per cent, while the NSE Nifty settled at 25,796.90, a marginal decrease of 13.95 points or 0.05 per cent.
