The Met Office has issued fresh yellow and amber weather warnings for the country as we head through Wednesday, January 8, and into Thursday, January 9.

MORE snow and ice is on the way, according to forecasters who have issued another weather warning. The Met Office has put in place a yellow warning across the north west of England and north Wales for snow and icy patches.

National Rail is also warning travellers to check their journeys in light of the Met Office yellow warnings for snow and ice still in place.
