Davis addressed the blockbuster trade publicly on Monday for the first time since it was reported Saturday night that he was being dealt to the Mavericks in exchange for All-NBA guard Luka Dončić.

The unfathomable trade has certainly shaken up the NBA, but Davis, a longtime close friend of LeBron James, acknowledged that he understands the business side of basketball. It was surely an unexpected move, but he made clear he's looking forward to competing with the Mavericks, where he'll team up with Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson.
