Lionel Messi has scored his 900th career goal to become the second player to reach the mark in elite men's football after Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lionel Messi has reached another milestone, getting his 900th career goal in the opening minutes of Inter Miami’s CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 match against Nashville on Wednesday night.

In the seventh minute, Messi received a short pass from Sergio Reguillon, took a couple dribbles and fired a shot between the legs of Nashville defender Jeisson Palacios.
