Comcast service has been restored Monday after an outage earlier in the day affected Xfinity customers across the country.
Authorities say one person is in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Nearly 26,000 Xfinity users are reporting issues June 22, according to DownDetector.
The top threat to the cable industry's high-speed internet business is no longer a rival cable name. It's wireless telecom names T-Mobile US (TMUS +2.63%) and Verizon Communications (VZ +1.37%).
