A former NASA astronaut has donated state of Kansas flags that made trips to the moon and back to the Cosmosphere.
The Kansas governor orders flags at half-staff to honor the lives lost in the crash near Washington, D.C. Governor Laura Kelly sent out the directive Thursday afternoon for all flags across the state.
Flags are to fly at half-staff from sunup to sundown on Wednesday, May 15. “Kansas peace officers put their lives on the line daily to serve our communities,” said Governor Laura Kelly.
