Notre Dame Fighting Irish safety Adon Shuler was the highest-graded PFF College safety in Week 7. Shuler graded out at an 87.0. He had three tackles and an interception with a 44-yard return in Notre Dame's 36-7 win over the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Ahead of this week’s USC–Notre Dame showdown, former USC Trojans head coach Pete Carroll revisited the legendary 2005 “Bush Push” game, recounting how chaos, confidence, and one iconic shove defined college football history.

The Penn High School graduate and former Indiana Mr. Basketball winner was named a Preseason First Team All-ACC selection, becoming the first Irish player to garner the honor since senior forward John Mooney in 2019.

NC State's defense kept it in the game, forcing a turnover on downs and intercepting Fighting Irish freshman quarterback CJ Carr in the end zone in the first half. Even with the extra possessions, the Wolfpack offense sputtered throughout the game and failed to put enough points on the board.

Knock off the Trojans next Saturday and the Irish will get a fresh look from outside South Bend. And there’s a lot worth watching.
