The Oilers have finally addressed their multiple-season problem in goal by acquiring Penguins netminder Tristan Jarry. Edmonton dealt goalie Stuart Skinner, defenseman Brett Kulak and a 2029 second-round pick for Jarry and forward Sam Poulin.
Even with a new goalie, the Oilers still look like an aging, top-heavy team that has played a ton of hockey the past two seasons.
Dallas scored four times in the opening period alone, and the Oilers pulled starter Stuart Skinner after he allowed those goals on just eight shots. Calvin Pickard replaced him and gave up another four goals over the next two periods. Despite the awful numbers, Leon Draisaitl defended both netminders.

Tristan Jarry Trade Could Help Oilers But Comes with Plenty of Risk
The Edmonton Oilers finally, after years of debate, made a trade to try and attempt their goaltending issues. On Friday morning, it was confirmed that they traded Stuart Skinner, Brett Kulak, and a second-round pick in 2029 in exchange for Tristan Jarry and Sam Poulin.
A viral clip of Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner has sparked trade rumors amid Edmonton’s reported interest in Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry.
The Canadiens did well on the road trip, but want to extend that to a good effort on home ice.
