The Kremlin says U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed Iran, Ukraine and other issues by phone, their sixth publicly disclosed chat since Trump returned to the White House.

Russian President Vladimir Putin told U.S. President Donald Trump in a phone call on Thursday that Moscow wants a negotiated end to the Ukraine war but will not step back from its original goals, a Kremlin aide said.

Putin call comes after the U.S. said it would halt some weapons shipments to Ukraine, which continues to fight off invading Russian forces.
