Can you believe we’re about to celebrate 50 years of Saturday Night Live?! NBC is not only airing a primetime 50th-anniversary special on Sunday, February 16, but a recently announced Radio City Music Hall show,

“Saturday Night Live” will celebrate 50 years of live comedy with the three-hour “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” on Sunday, Feb. 16, but there won’t be a new episode of “SNL” on Saturday, Feb. 8, or Saturday, Feb. 15.

The Jan. 18 episode of the late-night, award-winning comedy show was hosted by long-time comedian Dave Chappelle with musical guest and Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla making her' SNL' debut. One week later, on Jan. 25, Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet pulled double duty as host and musical guest.

SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night” delves into cast auditions, “More Cowbell,” and a fateful season in which Lorne Michaels almost lost the show with new experiments.

The legendary comedy show's writers and cast members — not to mention creator and producer Lorne Michaels — will celebrate its landmark season in a star-studded anniversary special Sunday, Feb. 16, on NBC.
