JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, Miss. ( WLBT /Gray News) - A Mississippi woman has been arrested for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program fraud. According to the Mississippi Department of Human Services, Victoria Reese received $25,698 in SNAP benefits by not reporting her household income and composition accurately.
Since the longest government shutdown in U.S. history ended on Nov. 12, the Illinois Department of Human Services said in a press release they anticipate remaining benefit payments will be made in coming days, with all SNAP recipients receiving their full November benefits by Nov. 20.
