The Bugatti W16 Mistral has set a new top-speed world record for an open-top car, reaching a speed of 453.91 km/h at the ATP Automotive Testing track in Papenburg, Germany. The landmark achievement follows several other world-record runs in the past 14 years.

Bugatti's Mistral roadster combines powerful performance and design to achieve a new open-top speed world record. The supercar was driven by Andy Wallace, a race car driver with a history of setting speed records.

In case you’re keeping score, the Mistral wrenches the open-top record from the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder, which clocked 427.44kph way back in 2016...which wrenched it from the 1,183hp Veyron Vitesse, which recorded a 254mph run before that.
