In the race for California’s open 47th congressional district, early results showed former Assemblymember Scott Baugh take a lead over state Sen. Dave Min.

The race between Republican Scott Baugh and Democratic state Sen. Dave Min for the fiercely fought open House seat in coastal Orange County remained too close to call Tuesday night as votes continue to be counted.

California State Senator Dave Min (D- Irvine, CA) leads former State Assemblymember Scott Baugh (R) 53.5% – 46.5% in the California District 47 House race. The two are trying to replace outgoing U.S.

The balance of power in the U.S. House of Representatives could be decided in California’s 47th Congressional District, where Democratic State Sen. Dave Min and Republican business owner Scott Baugh are locked in a close race.
