Venus Williams, who made a comeback last week after more than a year's hiatus from competitive tennis, will compete alongside Reilly Opelka in mixed doubles at the US Open.Williams won her opening singles and doubles match at the DC Open last week in her first WTA tournament since last year's Miami Open.

Venus Williams' comeback will continue at the U.S. Open, where she received a wild-card entry into the mixed doubles draw.

Venus played on the WTA Tour last week for the first time since March 2024 at the Mubadala Citi DC Open. After becoming the oldest player to win a WTA Tour singles match in 21 years, she lost in the second round in Washington to Magdalena Frech of Poland.
