The Philadelphia 76ers have the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NBA draft after moving up two spots in the lottery on Monday night. The jump up allows the Sixers to not only keep their pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder, but it also allows them to land one of the top prospects in this draft.
As we get closer to the 2025 NBA Draft, we are already starting to hear rumors about which top prospects are drawing the most attention from teams.
According to ESPN's Jonathan Givony, there is "quite a bit of enthusiasm in NBA circles" for Texas' Tre Johnson and Oklahoma's Jeremiah Fears. Givony noted that both players could be in the mix starting at No. 3 overall in the draft, behind Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper.
After only one year at Oklahoma, Jeremiah Fears is heading to the NBA. Alas, not everybody is convinced that Fears is ready for the next level. On the Game Theory Podcast, The Athletic draft expert Sam Vecenie provided an in-depth evaluation of Fears’ game.
NBA draft is not until June 25, so there is plenty of time for draft rankings to shift over the next month and a half.
