MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly enquired about the possibility of signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle this week. The Red Devils are understood to be determined to add a striker to their ranks

Ruben Amorim is said to have had Ollie Watkins as his No.1 target to cure United’s lack of goals but he appears to have been overruled. Newcastle, however, are, according to the Daily Mail, likely to move for the England striker should Isak’s wish be granted.

Liverpool have now had an official bid for Isak rejected by Newcastle. The Reds are already the top spenders so far this summer and it is expected they would have to pay a British-record fee for Isak's services.
