Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Andrew Abbott was dominant in Saturday's win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The left-hander gave up one run on two hits over six innings of work. He walked three and struck out seven.

Trade Deadline winds are blowing stronger with moves starting to happen around Major League Baseball the past couple of days. For the Reds, the time is ripe for catching a breeze to both stay in the postseason hunt and position themselves for dealing before Thursday.

After four straight quality starts, Baz gave up eight runs on eight hits over four innings in his last outing, an 8-3 loss to the visiting Chicago White Sox on July 21. He is 0-1 with a 9.72 ERA in 8 1/3 innings over two career starts against the Reds.

"They could offer Arizona two of the following three pitching prospects - lefty Adam Serwinowski, righty Ty Floyd, righty Luke Holman, or one of those pitcher along with middle infielder Peyton Stovall or infielder/outfielder Tyler Callihan who is currently on the injured list," Bowden wrote.

The effort raised Stewart's batting average to .281 in 32 plate appearances over eight games since he was promoted from Double-A Chattanooga to Triple-A Louisville. Stewart and catcher Alfredo Duno were the two Reds' minor-leaguers named to the 2025 MLB All-Star Futures Game.
