Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward says he is trying to avoid the buzz surrounding his rookie season even while believing his selection at the top of the 2025 NFL draft has put a "target" on his back.

On Wednesday, EA Sports revealed the initial Madden NFL 26 rating for the rookie class, and Ward was given a rating of 71. In a later post, it was revealed that Ward is actually an 82 rating. Still, he is nowhere near the top 10 rookies in this class, even though he is the highest-rated quarterback among his counterparts.
