Winter storm timeline for New York, New Jersey shows when heaviest snow will hit this weekend
The NYC area is bracing for a major winter storm that's set to hit the region with heavy snow on top of dangerous, subfreezing weather.

Heavy snow and sleet for NYC this weekend; 10 to 14 inches of snow this Sunday
The New York City area could see anywhere from 10 to 14 inches of snow this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
New York City subways and buses will keep running throughout the weekend snowstorm, the MTA said. NJ Transit, however, warned of possible suspensions.
Hundreds had to be evacuated at the 17-story building before a severe winter storm is set to hit most of the United States.
