There are plenty of provisions in the massive tax bill known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that lawmakers are hotly contesting as Republicans rush to finalize the bill by their self-imposed July 4 deadline.

The Senate has proposed numerous changes to the "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" that the House narrowly passed. The Senate's version caps the deductions for tips and overtime pay, and puts income restrictions on who is eligible to take them.
