Quarterback Justin Herbert's name is the biggest one. Herbert left last Sunday's loss to the Steelers with the ankle injury he originally suffered in Week Two and he was a limited participant in practice all week.

News broke from the Chargers on Friday that gave an update on these key players' participation during practice. Slater, Colson, and Alt were all very limited, however, it was said

The good news for Justin Herbert and the Chargers is that X-rays were negative on his ankle. The bad news is that Herbert, or whomever it is that starts at QB in Week 4 against the Chiefs, is expected to play with backup tackles protecting him.

Linebacker Junior Colson (hamstring) has also been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Cornerback Kristian Fulton (knee), cornerback Ja’Sir Taylor (fibula), returner Derius Davis (hamstring) and cornerback Deane Leonard (hamstring) are questionable.

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh provided an injury update on a few key players ahead of their Week 4 matchup.

The Chargers won't have injured Joey Bosa, Junior Colson and Rashawn Slater for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs, while several notables -- including Justin Herbert and Joe Alt -- remain questionable.
