The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday filed a money laundering case against Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah in connection with a land allotment case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has booked Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathy and others under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case.

In the MUDA site-allotment case, it is alleged that compensatory sites were given to Siddaramaiah's wife in an upmarket area in Mysuru, which had higher property value as compared to the location of her land that was "acquired" by MUDA.

This came after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a money laundering case against the Karnataka Chief Minister and others over the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam.
