Britain is marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day this week with four days of commemorations honoring the end of World War II on the continent, as well as those who served and perished during the conflict.

On this sunny Bank Holiday, thousands of people up and down the country are celebrating a day that represents freedom and unity. Visitors and locals alike, begin to gather along the streets of central London, for the start of the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
