Braves trade for veteran Carrasco from Yankees
The Braves are sellers. But their injury-depleted starting rotation has forced them to spend the past couple days buying from the clearance rack. The Braves acquired Carlos Carrasco from the Yankees in exchange for cash or a player to be named later on Monday.
Carrasco didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Reds, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.
Atlanta's injury-riddled rotation forced another move as the team acquired a veteran pitcher from New York in a low-cost trade.
