Rare exotic birds escaped from a zoo at an historic country estate after aviaries were badly damaged by heavy snow.Seven Inca Terns and two Waldrapp Ibis fled Wildlife World at Lotherton Hall near Leeds at the weekend through holes in the netting caused by the wintry weather.

A zoo in Switzerland said winter storms allowed two red pandas to escape their enclosure and one of the animals wandered all the way into nearby woodlands.

On Jan. 3, there were suddenly no more red pandas at the Walter Zoo AG in Gossau, Switzerland. The two female animals appeared to have escaped and were helped by the heavy snowfall of the previous days.
